Yesterday IPL match result: In match no. 38 of IPL 2024, Rajasthan Royals beat Mumbai Indians by 9 wickets at Sawai Mansingh Stadium. The game was played at the RR’s home ground, where Mumbai Indians decided to bat first after winning the toss, but this proved to be the wrong decision. Rajasthan registered a comprehensive victory over MI and Sandeep Sharma was named “Player of the Match” for his exceptional bowling performance. He registered the best bowling figure of this season so far, taking 5 wickets for just 18 runs.

In match no. in 38 of the Indian Premier League 2024 season, Rajasthan and Mumbai faced each other at Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Jaipur. At the packed stadium in Pink City, Mumbai won the toss and asked RR to bowl first, but this proved to be the wrong decision. Mumbai lost their top order in just three overs, and once were 52/4 in 7.3 overs, from there Tilak Verma and Nikhil Wadhera carried the MI’s innings and formed a 99-run partnership. Wadhera got out in the 16th over of the innings at the score of 151 runs and MI’s batting crumpled again, losing wickets at regular intervals. 

MI managed to score 179 runs in 20 overs. Sandeep Sharma and Trent Boult gave MI early damage, but Sandeep was the spearhead of the bowling attack, taking five wickets. In answer to this, Rajasthan got a tremendous start to the inning with Jaiswal and Buttler both firing. Buttler got out in the 8th over for a total of 74 from there, captain Sanju took on the responsibility of finishing the job with Yashashwi Jaiswal. Jaiswal scored a brilliant hundred and remained not out on 104 runs. With this win, Rajasthan solidified their top spot in the points table.
