This T20 World Cup is extended to 20 teams, which are divided into four groups of five teams each. Team India is in Group A with Pakistan; England and Australia are in the same group, Group B. New Zealand and the West Indies are heavyweights in Group C, and South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh are in Group D. 

From the list of non-test-playing nations, or so-called minnows, the USA and Canada are in Group A. Scotland, Namibia, and Oman are non-test-playing nations from Group B; Uganda and Papua New Guinea are in Group C. The Netherlands and Nepal are placed in Group D.

T20 World Cup 2024 Groups

  • Group A – Canada, USA, India, Pakistan, Ireland

  • Group C – New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan, Uganda, Papua New Guinea
  • Group D – South Africa, Sri Lanka, Netherlands, Nepal, Bangladesh 

The USA will host the most anticipated match of this World Cup, Ind vs Pak on June 9 at Eisenhower Park, Nassau County, Long Island, New York. Group stage games will be played in the USA and West Indies, but the semi-finals and final will take place in the West Indies. 

The first semifinal will be played at the Guyana National Stadium in Providence, Guyana, on June 26, while the second semifinal will be held at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago. According to the T20 World Cup 2024 Schedule, the final of this edition will take place at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados, on June 29, 2024.
