2. Martin Guptill: 237* runs

The Right-hand Batsman of New Zealand, Martin Guptill is the second person in the list of most runs in an innings in ODIs. He took 163 balls to score 237 (not out) runs. He smashed 24 fours and 11 sixes in that knock, along with a strike rate of 145.39. This memorable knock came against West Indies at Wellington on 21 March 2015 during the 4th Quarter-Final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.

How can the universal boss be not on the list of most runs in an innings in ODIs? The next player having set this record is none other than Chris Gayle. He played a knock of 215, in which he faced 147 balls. His knock included 10 fours and 16 sixes, which he hit with a strike rate of 146.25. Pathum Nissanka, the very famous Sri Lankan player is another name on the list of most runs in an innings in ODIs. He secured 210 (not out) runs in 139 deliveries, including 20 fours, 8 sixes, and a strike rate of 151.07.
