T20 World Cup 2024 Warm-Up Matches Is On Its Way From 27th Of May: India to Take On Bangladesh

The big news coming from the T20 World Cup 2024 side is that the International Cricket Council ( ICC) has announced the warm-up matches for the participating teams in the World Cup. The 2024 T20 World Container warm-up matches have been planned from Monday, May 27th, to Saturday, June 1st, over the USA and Trinidad and Tobago. The settings facilitating the 16 warm-up matches ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024 incorporate Amazing Prairie Cricket Stadium in Texas, Broward Province Stadium in Florida, Queen’s Stop Oval, and the Brian Lara Cricket Foundation in Trinidad and Tobago.

These warm-up matches will be equal to the normal matches and carry both sides of 20 overs, which is a plus point for the teams that are allowed to field all their 15 players, but the performance of the players will not be counted in any of their international records. Every team has the choice to play the two warm-up matches, but it will depend on their arrival as well, and that’s why the ICC has announced the warm-up matches at the end of the month.

The men in blue team India will take on Bangladesh on June 1st, 2024, as a warm-up match to kick off their World Cup journey, and later, on June 5th, India will play its first World Cup match with Ireland at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York. BCCI has also announced to Indian players that as the IPL 2024 will conclude on May 26th, the Indian team will leave for the USA in two batches to play their warm-up match against Bangladesh.

On the other side, Pakistan, England, and New Zealand teams don’t have any warm-up matches for the World Cup because Pakistan and England are locked in their four T20 match series till the end of this month, and New Zealand has other reasons. The warm-up matches of the World Cup are scheduled by the ICC, and there will be no changes in any circumstances. India and South Africa are the only teams with one warm-up match due to their planned schedule, and the other teams have two matches, which are also dependent on their arrival.

Now let’s check out the T20 World Cup 2024 warm-up matches fixtures.
