  • 16 September 2007 – During the ICC World Twenty20, the first-ever T20I battle between India and New Zealand took place. Played in Johannesburg, New Zealand scored 190 runs with all wickets down, while India managed to chase 180 runs with 9 wickets down.   • 15 February – 12 March 1968 – India toured New Zealand to play a 4-test match series against them. On the Kiwis soil, India won this 4-test match series by 4-1. The Indian team won the first, third, and fourth tests, while the second test was won by the Kiwis. 
  • 10 November – 2 December 1976New Zealand toured India for 3- test match series. However, 1 out of 3 matches was declared drawn, and the remaining 2 matches were won by the Men in Blue, showcasing their dominance. 
  • 10 December – 19 December 1988 – India hosted New Zealand for a 5-match ODI series. However, 1 match was abandoned due to heavy rain, while all the remaining 4 matches were won by the Indian team, making them win the series by 4-0. 

The dominance of Kiwis: 2000s era

  • 12 December – 22 December 2002 – India toured New Zealand and played two test matches against them. Despite some powerful performances from the Indian team, both tests were won by the Kiwis, reflecting their determination. 
  • 26 December 2002 – 14 January 2003 – India’s New Zealand tour brought a 7-match ODI series. In this series, two victories were registered by India, whereas the remaining 5 matches were won by the Kiwis, winning the series by 5-2. 
  • 25 February – 27 February 2009 – During the Indian Team’s visit to New Zealand, both teams again clashed for two T20I battles, and both encounters went in favor of the Kiwis. They won the T20I series by 2-0, thus whitewashing India

  • 23 August – 3 September 2012 – India hosted the Kiwis for a 2-test match series. Interestingly, both the victories were registered by India who showcased the power of playing in the home ground. 
  • 19 January – 31 January 2014 – New Zealand hosted India for a 5-ODI match series. During this series, the third ODI match was tied, elsewhere the remaining 4 matches went in favor of the Kiwis. However, there was strong competition from the Indian team.
  • 1 November – 7 November 2017 – India again hosted the Kiwis for a 3-T20I match series. This series brought two victories for India, i.e., the first and third T20I encounters, while the Black Caps managed to win only one T20I battle, i.e., the second one.

The recent of all: Latest Fixtures

  • 25 November – 6 December 2021 – New Zealand toured India and played two tests against the men in blue. However, the first test was declared drawn, while the second test was won by the Indian team. This win was special because India won a test series against New Zealand after a gap of 5 years. Before this, they won a test series against New Zealand in 2016. 
  • 27 January – 1 February 2023 – New Zealand team’s visit to India witnessed the recent T20I battle between both teams. The first T20I encounter in this 3-T20I matches series was won by the Black Caps, while the remaining two T20I battles were secured by the Indian team. 
  • 15 November 2023 – The recent ODI battle between both teams happened during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. India secured 397 runs with 4 down, while the Kiwis managed to chase 327 runs with all wickets down. Hence, the recent IND vs NZ ODI battle was won by the Men in blue.
