Pakistan defeated England by 152 runs in the 2nd Test of the three-match series in Multan. This was Pakistan’s first test win at home since February 2021. With this win, Pakistan broke the losing streak of six test matches. The second test of the Pakistan vs England test series was played on the used pitch of Multan, where Pakistan elected to bat first after winning the toss. Pakistan played decent cricket on Day 1, scoring 259/5, thanks to the century of debutant Kamran Ghulam. On Day 2, England bounced back and wrapped up Pakistan on 366 runs.
England concluded the second day of the Multan test on 239/6 with Ben Duckett being the top scorer by playing a 114-run inning. On Day 3, Pakistan gets a 75-run lead by wrapping up England’s 1st inning on 291 runs. However, Pakistan was bowled all out on 221 runs on the same day.
The third day of the Multan test ended with England being on 36/2, with 261 runs required and 8 wickets in hand. On the fourth day of the Multan Test, Pakistani spinners Sajid Khan and Noman Ali wreaked havoc and bundled out England on 144 to register Pakistan’s first home tets win in nearly 3 years.
