The World Cup Co-Host Country “The United States Of America” stunned Bangladesh With Great Performance

The recent T20 series is going on between America and Bangladesh, where the Bangladesh team has to face their first defeat against the World Cup co-host country America. America defeated Bangladesh by 5 wickets in the first T20I at the Prairie View Cricket Complex in Texas on the 21st of May. T20 World Cup co-host country “The United States of America” has shown its impact and started with a stunning win over competitive Bangladesh also proving to the whole cricketing world that they are not minnows. The former India U-19 player Harmeet Singh and former New Zealand player Corey Anderson made a crucial partnership of 62 runs which later led them to win the match by 5 wickets for their team. 

Batting first Bangladesh scored a fighting total of 153 runs in a loss of 6 wickets, where the talented batsman Tawhid Hridoy has only scored a half-century of 58 runs off 48 balls with the help of four boundaries and two sixes and the rest of the players also contributed with the bat like Mahmudullah scored 22 runs while Somya Sarkar added 20 runs to their final score. The second innings was not well started for team America and they lost their 5 wickets in just 94 runs but later the destructive batting of Harmeet Singh and Corey Anderson led America to their first win with the help of  62 runs partnership.  

After winning their first T20 match America is very confident and also thought to clean up the series with a 3-0, now the second T20 is on the 23rd of May where America has the full chance to capture the series and Bangladesh team has the chance to come back with a win to level up the series.
