Rohit Sharma Left Yashasvi Jaiswal at the Hotel in Adelaide…

According to a recent report by Sports Tak, Rohit Sharma left Yashasvi Jaiswal at the hotel in Adelaide after getting furious at the left-handed opener’s indisciplined behavior. The incident occurred when Team India was about to depart for Adelaide airport heading to Brisbane for the third test of the BGT 2024-25

Team India was supposed to depart from their hotel in Adelaide at 8:30 AM local time to catch their flight to Brisbane. The squad was scheduled to travel to the airport in two buses. Coach Gautam Gambhir, Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar, Captain Rohit Sharma,  and support staff had already boarded the bus on time except for Yashasvi.

This is a rare occasion because Yashasvi is generally one of the most punctual guys in the Indian squad and does not commit such mistakes. But on Wednesday, for some inexplicable reason, he did it and was not available in the hotel lobby on time.

Following Jaiswal’s delay, India captain Rohit Sharma became furious and jumped out of the bus, instructing the hotel personnel to find Yashasvi. The manager and the team’s security officer also exited the bus. After a little discussion, everyone sat back on the bus and decided to leave without Yashasvi Jaiswal.

After Team India left the hotel around 20 minutes later, Yashasvi came and realized the team bus had already left without him. However, team management had arranged for a car and senior security officer to drive Yashasvi to the airport.

The upcoming test match in Brisbane is going to be vital for India to secure their spot in the World Test Championship (WTC) Final. Also, there is a forecast of rain on all 5 days that may play the spoilsport and diminish chances of securing final berth. The third match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 is scheduled at Gabba from 14 December to 18 December.
