The test rivalry between West Indies and South Africa started in 1992 at the ground of Kensington Oval. In this match, West Indies defeated South Africa by 52 runs. 

Another memorable West Indies win is during the 1992-93 series in South Africa. The 3rd Test at the Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg with a dramatic finish as Courtney Walsh and Curtly Ambrose starred in a thrilling win for West Indies.
