By batting first Pakistan scored 287 & 326 in both innings with brilliant batting by Hanif Mohammad and on the Australian side middle-order batsman took charge and consequently 4 batsmen scored a half-century.

1990 – In the year 1990, when the Austral-Asia Cup was going on, 5 strong teams were playing ( India, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Pakistan) the Pakistan team won the Austral-Asia Cup at the International level by defeating Australia in the finals by 36 runs.

Pakistan Best Phase ( 1990’s – 2010’s )
1992 – 1992 is the year that changed the fate of Pakistan Cricket because it took place in the World Cup and in their 2nd match where they faced Australia and defeated them by 48 runs, later Pakistan made it to the finale and lifted their first ever World Cup title under Imran Khan’s captaincy.

2002 – In 2002 Pakistan toured Australia for the 3 ODI series, where they again claimed their victory over Australia by winning the series 2 -1. The Pakistan Rawalpindi Express ( Shoaib Akhtar) captured the first place for most wickets in the series with 7 wickets and the most run-getter is Imran Nazir’s 111 runs. This is the only series in which none of the batsmen from both sides scored a century in a single match.
