India will host the 2025 Asia Cup, which will be conducted in T20 format, while Bangladesh secured hosting rights for the 2027 edition of the Men’s Asia Cup, which will be held in one-day format.
The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has released an Invitation for Expressions of Interest (IEOI) document, inviting interested organizations to submit their IEOI for ACC Sponsorship Rights for the 2024–2027 term. This paper contains information on prospective Asia Cup venues.
India has only hosted the Men’s Asia Cup once before, in 1990/91, when they won the tournament at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. According to the tender document, future Men’s Asia Cup editions will have 13 games.
The next Women’s Asia Cup will take place in 2026 in T20 format, and while the venue has yet to be announced, it is already slated that it will feature a total of 15 matches.
The tender document also includes the Men’s Under-19 Asia Cup, which will have 15 matches in each of the years 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027.
In addition, the Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup will take place in 2024 and 2026 (T20 format), 2025, and 2027 (50-over format), with 30 games to be played in a single edition.
The tender rights cycle also has two Women’s Emerging Teams Asia Cups, with 15 matches scheduled for each in 2025 and 2027, respectively.
The tender document from ACC states that interested parties must either have a net worth exceeding USD 10 million or have an annual revenue exceeding USD 15 million as of March 31, 2024.
