In the initial encounters, New Zealand usually had the upper hand. There have been significant moments in the history of Bangladesh vs New Zealand rivalry that fans and critics will remember forever. One such moment was during 2008 in 2008-2009 Bangladesh vs New Zealand. Bangladesh tasted its first win against New Zealand in ODIs by 7 wickets. 

Another significant moment was when Bangladesh’s historic 4-0 series win in 2010 at home ground. This was also their first series win against a top-level team.
