The Champions Trophy 2025 Final Could be shifted from Lahore to Dubai

PCB might suffer a big blow related to hosting the ICC Champions Trophy, even if the Pakistan Cricket Board wins the right to host the tournament. According to a report published in the Telegraph UK, the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 might be shifted from Lahore to Dubai if India qualifies for the final. Due to the rumors that the Indian team might not travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy in February 2025.

This would create ambiguity about the venue until days before the final. India will not play any matches in Pakistan, as the BCCI is apparently unwilling to send the team due to political tensions between the two countries.

Meanwhile, PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi believes the BCCI will send the Indian squad to Pakistan for the forthcoming ICC Champions Trophy.

“The Indian team should come. I don’t see them cancel or postpone coming here and we are confident we will host all the teams in the Champions Trophy in Pakistan,” Naqvi said.

Naqvi stated that the stadiums would definitely be in a much better position to host the event in February and March.

PCB has already filed a draft schedule for the ICC Champions Trophy, which is set to begin on February 19 and conclude on March 9. Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi have been chosen as the venues for this event.
