BCCI decided to switch the location of the upcoming IPL match of Punjab Kings vs Mumbai Indians from Dharamshala to Ahmedabad due to the ongoing Indo-Pak war. Now, the game between the two teams starts at the scheduled time, that is, 3:30 pm IST on 11th May, 2025 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. The venue has been changed due to logistical changes. Due to the ongoing War situation, there is a possibility that the match between the two teams may be postponed or cancelled. BCCI was exploring all the options so that the game would not be cancelled or postponed.
After Operation Sindoor, Dharamshala Airport was also shut down on Wednesday due to the Indian Army strikes on the nine terror sites in Pakistan and POK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir). GCA accepted when the BCCI asked the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) to host the Punjab Kings vs. Mumbai Indians game.
Apart from this, Dharamshala hosted the PBKS vs DC match on Thursday, 8th March 2025. The match was concluded without a result because of the ongoing tension on India and Pakistan border. Both teams travel by road for the 61st match of the IPL, as Dhramashala Airport was shut down. Ahmedabad is all set to welcome both teams for the tussle.
PBKS was currently in the third position with 16 points from 12 matches, and MI is just one slot below PBKS with 14 points from 12 matches. Now, the upcoming tussle between the PBKS vs MI at Narendra Modi Stadium will be interesting to see. As the cricket pitch is in favour of batters, the batting tactics of both teams are fantastic, but MI has good batters as well as good spinners. So, there is a possibility that the Punjab Kings may face a big challenge in the fielding. This match is gonna be exciting and thrilling for the fans.
