ECB Announced the Schedule of India’s tour of England 2025

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced its summer cricket schedule, which also includes India’s schedule for the 2025 England tour. India has to play a 5-test match series, 3 ODIs, and 5 T20Is on this tour.

India will launch a new World Test Championship cycle with a nearly two-month tour that includes Test matches in London, Headingley, Birmingham, and Manchester. Since 2007, India has not won a Test series in England; they came very near in 2021, but the series ended in a 2-2 draw. After defeating Australia and England at home, Rohit Sharma looks to the past as he prepares to take on one of the toughest tasks of his Test and leadership careers.

The matches in England will take place at five of their main Test centers, as is customary. The Leeds Cricket Ground in Headingley will host the opening match of the series from June 20 to June 24. Following a week-long break, the action takes place from July 2–6 at Birmingham’s Edgbaston Cricket Ground. The third Test will be played at the legendary Lord’s Cricket Ground in the center of London four days later before Manchester takes up hosting duties at Old Trafford. The Oval in London will host the series’ fifth and final game from July 31 to August 4.

One-day internationals will take place in Utilita Bowl, Southampton, Lord’s, London, and Seat Unique Riverside, Chester-le-Street, respectively. While Trent Bridge, Nottingham, will host the 1st T20I, Seat Unique Stadium, Bristol 2nd, the third T20I will be played at The Kia Oval, London, Emirates. Old Trafford, Manchester, will host the 4th T20I, and the last T20I match of the five-match series will be held at Edgbaston, Birmingham.

Whether India will participate in any kind of practice match is still unknown. India will play in the World Test Championship final prior to the series, assuming they qualify. This match will probably take place just before the series begins. With a win percentage of 68.51, India is currently ahead of Australia (second in the WTC standings). However, the defending Test champions are ahead on points, with 90 against 74. However, Australia has played three test matches more compared to India.
