Match Summary: Yesterday’s IPL Match Result MI vs. CSK Match No.29 : Who Won Yesterday’s IPL Match?

Yesterday’s IPl match result went in favor of CSK, but the coin flipped in favor of the Mumbai Indians. After winning the toss, Mumbai took the usual decision at Wankhede to chase down the target. Putting down into the middle for setting up a challenging total, at the batting-friendly wicket of Wankhede Stadium, Chennai Batters couldn’t find the start that they wanted, losing Rahane to a score of just 8 runs in the second over of the innings.

But from there, captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rachin Ravindar not only stabilized the inning but also increased the run rate. After the dismissal of Rachin Ravindra, Shivam Dube came to the crease and again wreaked havoc among the bowlers, scoring 66 off 38. Captain Ruturaj also scored 69 off 40 deliveries, and MS Dhoni wrapped up the innings in style by hitting three back-to-back sixes to Pandya in the last over, taking CSK to a winning total of 206/4.

In answer to this gigantic total, MI got the exact start needed to chase down such targets with 70 runs in 7 overs. Then came the Pathirana, who sent back Kisan and Suraya in a span of just three deliveries. After that, Rohit and Tilak tried to stabilize the innings, but after Tilak’s dismissal, the Mumbai Indians kept losing wickets at regular intervals and fell short of 20 runs of the target. Rohit Sharma played till the end, scoring an unbeaten century, but failed to cross the line, and yesterday’s IPL match result did not go in the favor of MI.
