India thumped South Africa by 135 runs in the last match of the ongoing T20I series in Johannesburg. The 4th T20I match at Wanderers was a once-in-a-lifetime event where Team India set a flurry of records. Came to bat first after winning the toss The Indian team got off to a flying start as Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma formed a 73-run partnership in 5.5 overs. On the second-to-last ball of the powerplay, Abhishek was dismissed by Simpala on the individual score of 36. But this proved to be a mistake that cost Proteas the match. Because Tilak, who came to bat after Abhishek, again wreaked havoc on South African bowlers like he did in Centurion, but this time more ruthlessly. Sanju, who was smashing South Africa from the very first ball, was another threat to deal with for the Proteas bowlers in this game.
These two batters came together in the sixth over when the score was 73, but when India’s inning concluded, both were unbeaten centurions, who took India to their highest T20I total of 283/1 on foreign soil. Came to chase the second-highest T20I total ever between two test-playing nations, South Africa got the worst possible start to their inning they can ever imagine. Because Indian pacers Arshdeep and Hardik reduced South Africa to 10/4 in just three overs. South Africa never recovered from these early setbacks and kept losing wickets regularly in the endeavor to match the required run rate. Tristan Stubbs, David Miller, and Marco Jansen were the batters who showed some spine and reached double digits. Eventually, South Africa wrapped up on 148 in 18.2 overs and received their biggest defeat in T20Is.
