Australia won the 2nd Test match in Adelaide, handing India a humiliating 10-wicket defeat. This is India’s second loss in the Pink Ball test, and both of them came against Australia. The match in Adelaide started with Rohit Sharma’s right call on the toss, but unfortunately, that was the only thing that went in India’s favor in this match. After winning the toss, India decided to bat, but Starc again proved his supremacy with the pink ball. He took six wickets, and India was bundled out for 180 runs in the 1st inning. Starc and Pink are a lethal combo whose solution is yet to be found in the cricket world. Nevertheless, Australia came to bat under lights with a pink ball and surprisingly survived with just one wicket at the stumps on Day 1.
On Day 2, Australia managed to get 337 thanks to a blistering century from Travis Head, who scored 140 off 141 balls. India batted under lights on the day but couldn’t manage against the Aussie pace trio of Cummins, Starc, and Boland and were again wrapped up on 175. Only Reddy showed some glimpses of a counter attack, but he was sent back by Cummins on the individual score of 42. On Day 3, Australia got a target of just 19, which was nothing more than a formality that Australia fulfilled in just 3.2 overs without losing any wickets.
