M. Chinnaswamy Stadium: Karnataka State Cricket Association Stadium, Pitch Report, Records, Stats & Boundary Length

The M. Chinnaswamy Stadium is located in Bangalore, the capital of the Indian state of Karnataka. It is also called the Karnataka State Cricket Association Stadium because the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) is the operator of the ground. The stadium was initially known as the Karnataka State Cricket Association Stadium until it was renamed after Mangalam Chinnaswamy, a lawyer from Mandya and the founding member of the Mysore State Cricket Association. Mr. M. Chinnaswamy oversaw the Karnataka cricket administration for nearly forty years and served as president of the Indian Cricket Board from 1977 to 1980.

Chinnaswamy Stadium is one of the nation’s marquee venues for cricket. Once a modest cricket ground, it has now grown into a renowned cricket venue that can accommodate some 40 thousand cricket fans on a match day. The first match at Chinnaswamy Stadium was a test match played between India and West Indies in November 1974. Since then, this stadium has hosted 24 test matches, 31 ODIs, and 10 T20Is.
