The BCCI selection committee has named a 15-player squad of India for the upcoming 3-match T20I series against Bangladesh. Suryakumar Yadav will captain a new-look Indian squad in the T20I series against Bangladesh.
Uncapped pacer Mayank Yadav, who averaged speeds in the mid-150 mph range during the 2024 Indian Premier League season, is the most discussed name among the 15 players selected for this T20I series.
Other uncapped players selected in the team are Harshit Rana, a pacer, and Nitish Kumar Reddy, a 21-year-old all-rounder. Both of them had a great IPL season last year.
Sanju Samson is the first-choice wicketkeeper option, while Jitesh Sharma also returns to the T20I squad. Ravi Bishnoi and Washington Sundar will lead the spin attack with Varun Chakravarthy, who is returning to the team after a three-year absence.
The 15-member squad also includes Riyan Parag and Abhishek Sharma. Rinku Singh and Shivam Dube also maintained their place in the T20 Squad of India.
This is a three-match T20I series whose first match will be played on October 6 at the newly constructed Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior.
