Rohit Sharma Clears Doubts on His Recent Take on Int’nl Cricket | Makes Retirement Plans Clear

After quitting the shortest version of White-ball cricket, the recently held T20 World Cup, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma opened up about his forthcoming national duty as a player and captain in all longer formats.

He is not getting any younger and to prolong his International career he has already quit from T 20s to focus on what matters the most. By lifting the World T20 trophy last month, he announced his retirement in the footsteps of another senior pro-Kohli. Talking about his retirement plans he thinks he has still enough gas in the tank.

The Indian team now will have a new captain appointed in the T20 format. However, he’ll continue to lead India in ODI & red-ball cricket.

Currently, he is on break since bringing the trophy back after a long wait and is all set to miss the limited-overs of  Sri Lanka this month including three ODIs.

“ I said it. I am not looking far ahead. So it conveys that at least for a while,” the 37-year-old said that at an event in Dallas on July 15 night.
Perhaps this is a piece of great news for HIT MAN’s huge fan base who’ll continue to see his batting prowess in the busy schedule ahead.
