The 45th match of the Indian Premier League 2026, witnessed an enthralling contest between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, wherein the KKR had an all-round performance to storm into a convincing seven-wicket win. The match had gotten out of their hands, despite an explosive start by the Hyderabad side and excellent bowling from KKR with a middle-order collapse.
The match was a perfect example of the changing fortunes witnessed in a T20 game. Led by a strong start with the bat SRH looked in full control when they crumbled losing wickets in quick succession around the middle. KKR, on the other hand, up to that point were clinical in executing their bowling plans and hunted down with calmness.
The tight bowling by Varun Chakaravarthy and Sunil Narine made sure that the SRH did not go past a below-par total. KKR batters then showed calmness and depth to chase down the total at ease.
