PBKS Crush LSG by 54 Runs in High-Scoring IPL 2026 Thriller

Match 29 of the Indian Premier League 2026 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium on Sunday rendered Punjab Kings all out as they crushed Lucknow Super Giants by 54 runs. Flamboyant batting display propelled Punjab to a mammoth 254/7 in their 20 overs, one that was ultimately way too much for Lucknow manage.

Punjab innings was set-up by an explosive knock of 93 runs off just 37 balls from Priyansh Arya. He scored 40 runs off 16 balls, including nine sixes to kickstart the innings; setting the tone early and making life hard for bowlers. Cooper Connolly was well supported by him as the duo put on 182 runs together, before scoring 87 off 46 deliveries respectively, snatching the game away with both hands from Punjab.

Even though a few quick wickets fell during the middle overs, there were valuable contributions from Marcus Stoinis (29 off 16) and Shashank Singh (17 off 6),who helped Punjab maintain an extraordinary run rate of 12.7. Prince Yadav was the pick of the Lucknow bowlers with 2/25, and Manimaran Siddharth also bagged two wickets.

Lucknow Super Giants played within themselves a little responding but they too found it quite difficult to keep with the runway rate. Skipper Rishabh Pant settled in to score a quick 43 off 23 deliveries while Mitchell Marsh helped himself to an even quicker 40. The team will rue its failure to maintain an acceleration after Aiden Markram also dazzled with 42.

Despite a belter of a pitch, Punjab’s bowlers executed their plans to perfection. Marco Jansen was together with the best of the bowlers with 2/37, and Arshdeep Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal took a wicket each to restrict the chase.
