IPL Auction 2025: Bhuvneshwar Kumar Goes to RCB for 10.75 Crore as the Most Expensive Player on Day 2 of the Mega Auction in Jeddah  

The second day of the IPL auction 2025 went peacefully compared to the eventful Day 1 during which teams showered players in money. On Day 2, the highest-bidding player was Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who went to RCB for 10.75 crore. Bhuvneshwar was the only player who crossed the 10 crore mark on Day 2 of the mega auction. 

RCB entered the second day of the auction with the highest remaining purse of INR 30.65 crores and swooped in lately on the two-time purple cap winner with the first bid of 10.75 crores after a prolonged bidding war between Mumbai Indians and the Lucknow Super Giants.  

Indian fast bowlers were the most fascinating commodity for the majority of the second day’s action, and Bhuvaneshwar, being the most experienced seasoned campaigner among them, bagging the highest amount of the day of the mega auction in Jeddah.  

With Bhuvneshwar’s deal, RCB worked on perhaps the achilles heals of their squad which made the IPL tile elusive. He is supposed to lead a bowling line-up that consists of bowlers of lethal caliber like Josh Hazelwood and Lungi Ngidi.  

Alongside experienced pacers, RCB has strengthened its pace department, keeping the future in mind by retaining Yash Dayal and buying young Indian fast bowlers like Rasikh Dar and Abhinandan Singh.
