Harleen Deol Hands Debut Cap to Tanuja Kanwar As West Indies Women Bat First In 3rd ODI

India registered its iconic consecutive wins against West Indies in the first two ODIs, West Indies Opt to bat first in 3rd ODI.

The 26-year-old Tanuja Kanwar made her T20I debut during the 2024 Women’s Asia Cup in Sri Lanka. Since then, she has played four T20I matches. The young domestic player, Tanuja represents Railways and is an integral part of the Gujarat Giants in the Women’s Premier League (WPL). She, recently, participated in the ongoing Senior Women’s ODI trophy, where she took seven wickets in five matches.

Left-arm orthodox bowler Tanuja Kanwar made her ODI debut in IND vs WI 3rd and final ODI of the series at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara. She replaced seamer Saima Thakor in the ODI playing XI and was handed over her maiden ODI cap by right-handed batter Harleen Deol.

India won consecutively against West Indies in the first two ODIs with 314 and 358 respectively. For the third and the final ODI, West Indies opt for batting. However, it seems that West Indies has to set a target here in a tougher climate in Varodara, with early morning moisture and a slightly damped surface.
