Adelaide Oval is a historic cricket facility in Australia situated in the parklands between Adelaide’s city center and North Adelaide. Founded in 1871, it has served as the headquarters of the South Australian Cricket Association. The Adelaide Oval underwent an extensive redevelopment between 2012 and 2014, resulting in three grandstands: the Riverbank, Eastern, and Western Stands. The stadium includes both a heritage-listed scoreboard and a modern digital one. The Adelaide Oval hosted its first international cricket match in December 1884, between Australia and England.

Adelaide Oval Cricket Stadium Pitch Behaviour
The pitch at Adelaide Oval is known for being the flattest wicket to bat in Australia. However, the surface here also provides some bounce and pace and assist fast bowlers early in the innings. But as the match goes, particularly in longer formats, the surface begins to break, giving spinners more turn and unpredictable bounce. In day/night matches, the ball swings more under the lights, making batsmen work harder.
