Harmanpret Kaur suffers a neck injury during India’s triumph over Pakistan in Dubai

Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur’s further participation in the ongoing Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 is in suspense as she injured her neck during India’s game against Pakistan. Harmanpreet got injured while batting, prompting her to leave the field in pain.

She retired with 29 out of 24 deliveries. She remained calm and played a captain’s knock to assist India in making a comeback in the game. At a moment when the side was losing wickets, Kaur and Deepti Sharma avoided going for boundaries and rotated the strike to avoid getting dismissed.

Harmanpreet was looking good while batting and was on track to lead India to victory until he was injured. The seriousness of her injury is still to be determined, increasing concerns that it would end her participation in the ongoing Women’s T20 World Cup in the UAE.
