Sri Lanka vs New Zealand Match Result: Who Won SL vs NZ 1st Test in Galle?

Sri Lanka won the first test against New Zealand in Galle by 63 runs and got a 1-0 lead in the two-match series. The Galle test match has been an exciting encounter that runs down for five days. Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first on Day 1, but was restricted to just 305 runs in the first innings by the Kiwis. New Zealand took a first-inning lead of 35 runs by scoring 340 in their first inning. In the second inning, Sri Lanka didn’t do enough and made just 309 runs. A target of 275 was set by Sri Lanka for New Zealand in the fourth inning, but the Blackcaps crumbled on the last day of the Galle Test in front of a Sri Lankan spin attack led by Prabath Jayasuriya and lost the match by 63 runs.
