Match Summary: Yesterday’s IPL Match Result GT vs. DC Match No. 32: Who Won Yesterday’s IPL Match?
Last night, Gujarat Titans were playing at their home ground against an inconsistent and out-of-form-looking Delhi Capitals, which means they can accept two easy points. But that was what every cricket fan was thinking before the match. In Narendra Modi Stadium, both captains came for the toss, and the coin fell in favor of Delhi Capitals. Rishabh Pant chose to bowl first, and his bowlers and fielders proved his decision right, bundling out Gujarat at just 89 runs in front of their home supporters. Except for Kuldeep Yadav, every bowler who bowled for Delhi got at least a wicket. Mukesh Kumar was the best among them, scalping three wickets. Tristan Stubbs and Ishant Sharma both got two wickets each.
Gujarat batters were struggling from the start and showed no resilience except for Rashid Khan, who scored 31 off 24 deliveries. Coming to chase down such an easy target, Delhi got a flying start thanks to Jake Fraser McGurk, who made quickfire 20 off 10 balls, leading Delhi to 26 runs in the second over before his dismissal. From there, it becomes the template for Delhi’s batters to chase down this target as soon as possible to strengthen their run rate. In the end, Sumit Kumar scored the winning runs, and Delhi got back-to-back wins, which took them to sixth place in the points table.
