On Day 1, India won the toss and decided to bat but survived only 44.1 overs and scored 180 runs. Australia played the remaining 33 overs of the day and ended the day with a score of 86/1.

On Day 2, Australia scored 337 runs; Travis Head scored a century. India came to bat midway through the second day and played 24 overs till the stumps, scoring 128/5.

On the morning of Day 3, Australia took only 12.5 overs to wrap up India on 175. As a result, Australia gets a target of only 19 runs, which they achieved in 3.2 overs without losing any wickets.

India lost the match by 10 wickets, and this loss is India’s second defeat in pink ball tests, both coming against Australia.  

With this win, Australia now brings the series to the level of 1-1; the next match of the BGT 2024-25 will be played at the Gabba from December 14-18, 2024.
